Too busy to exercise? It’s a common excuse many people use to justify skipping workouts. And, well, it’s actually a pretty convincing cop-out. Life is hectic!
Just think about all the time it takes to gather your gym supplies, drive to the gym, change your clothes, pump some iron, shower, drive home. For many people, simply thinking about all the steps they’ll need to take to even set foot on the treadmill — it’s enough to convince them that a night as a couch potato is the much more rewarding option.
That’s why Generation Y blogger Ryan Gibson switched to exercising in a far more efficient way: working out at home. He makes quite a case for staying close to the nest when burning calories. His rationale?
For starters, you get to skip the crowds. Worried about rush hour at the gym? The only time you’ll be forced to wait for equipment is when you’re removing your sleeping cat from the treadmill belt.
No more gym intimidation! That tough guy who’s always sizing you up as you exercise? He won’t be in your living room. If he is, call the authorities.
Exercise on your own schedule. If you feel the urge for a midnight toning session, go for it!
Working out at home is cost-effective. You can either pay monthly fees or invest in equipment that you own for the long haul.
