Earlier this year YouTube announced the release of their new commenting system, which links to Google Plus. (The social media platform is also rolling out the new set up.) After a demo session and a slow rollout for users, the changes began popping up across the board. But what does a linked commenting system mean? For Google Plus users, it means that the social media platform can even better peg their interests. Comments will also be ranked (by top or active users), and can host threaded conversations between users.
The biggest reason for the change came from the growing problem of spam links and comments. As more shady comments began showing up by the day, Google realized actions must be taken in order to reverse YouTube’s reputation damage. The ability to search and interact with friends or fellow followers are just added perks.
