The Balayage/Ombre
Dip dye or “ombre” hair has been in for a few years now, and is still going stronger than ever for Spring 2014. Those with lighter colored caramel or blonde hair can opt for platinum or caramel tips, while ladies with brunette and black hair and opt for a reddish or warm caramel shade of brown.
If you don’t want something quite as dramatic as an ombre, a Balayage is another great way to add some lighter shades to your hair without damaging your entire mane. Balayage is a french highlighting techniques where the hairstylist paints on the color by hand, and typically avoids the root area/top of the head giving a natural, sun-kissed effect.
Blunt cut
The “blunt cut” has been seen quite a bit on the runway lately, most recently when Kendall Jenner sported a blunt bob for Marc Jacob’s SS2014 show. This look is versatile, and can be worn on shoulder length and long hair alike. Additionally, it looks sleek and professional and can easily be pulled back into a chic ponytail.

The middle part has been trending for the past few years and still reigns supreme for Spring 2014. Whether you have short sleek hair, or curly flowing locks: the center part is in!
Big, beachy curls
Big, beachy hair is always chic but is particularly trendy this spring. To obtain this look, try making your own DIY sea salt hair spray. The key to this look is texture, so it works best on day old hair!
