Some helpful tips to make Disney World the trip of a lifetime

It’s considered a trip of a lifetime, so if you’re visiting Disney World in the near future, consider these simple yet helpful tips to make your experience unforgettable:disney

1. Don’t take buses • Getting to Disney World can take two to three times longer than expected, depending on the route you take from your hotel. Consider different options if you’re pressed for time. Sometimes, walking will get you there faster than a bus.

2. Bring lots of strollers • Disney World is enormous, so if you have children, bring a stroller for every child, including those who may have outgrown strollers. Stroller parking areas are also located throughout the park.

3. Wear comfortable shoes • It may seem like common sense, but often visitors choose style over comfort when visiting Disney World. When you’re walking several miles on concrete or pavement on a long hot day, your feet will thank you if you’re wearing tennis shoes.

4. Take naps • Your kids may be too excited to sleep during the day, or they may just refuse all together, but overstimulation and exhaustion can drain even the most active children. Disney World is a really big place, so don’t expect to see absolutely everything, even if you’re there for a week. Taking the time to relax and rest will enhance your experience during the days you visit.

5. Bring a backpack • As Bobby Knight famously said, “The key is not the will to win … It is the will to prepare to win that is important.” The same applies to having fun. Make sure you carry along sunscreen, lip balm, water, sunglasses, hats, inexpensive raincoats, wipes, snacks and a change of clothes.
