Scouting: Goals for the New Year

boy scouts of america pinsMerry Christmas, Happy Holidays and best wishes for the upcoming New Year!

This is the time of year that many of us think about setting goals or making resolutions. The most popular goals seem to be geared toward self-improvement: We want to break bad habits and establish new, better ones.

With the New Year just around the corner, now is also the perfect time to reflect on the goals and values that scouting teaches our youth and to renew our commitment to those values as leaders.

Scouting offers amazing opportunities for our youth to develop their character and cultivate good, healthy habits all year long. And those life skills will serve them well as they grow into mature, successful men.

This January, we’re offering many winter season opportunities to participate in scouting activities. We invite you to stay active by participating in upcoming events, such as the Tracy Winter Day Camp, the 2014 University of Scouting, and the 2014 Varsity Biathlon. We hope to see you there!
