Schuylkill Valley Sports has been part of the sporting goods community since 1971, with 19 stores in southeast Pennsylvania, Phillipsburg, N.J., and now in Concord/Wilmington, Del.
Schuylkill Valley Sports employs approximately 300 members of the community and its leadership team of 12 puts in hundreds of volunteer hours every year. Our leadership team 
alone volunteers in youth organizations and charities such as:
Muhlenburg Township Athletic Association, Muhlenburg Ice Hockey, the Salvation Army, Justice 4 PAKids, Boyertown soccer and baseball, Pottsville youth soccer, Schuylkill Women in Crisis, Juvenile Diabetes, UMNS Step and Stride, In Ian’s Boots, Harvey Cedars Bible Conference, Crossing Cultures International, Kencrest Job Placement, Lifechurch Youth Ministry, Spring Valley YMCA, Spring-Ford youth baseball, Bellmawr baseball, the Warwick music department, multiple Cub Scout groups, Sovereign Grace Church, Grace and Peace Church, Hope Community Church and Christ’s Church of the Valley.
SV Sports founder Randy Ruch set a strong precedent of community service, which our company strives to continue to give after four-plus decades. When our retired CEO entered the 2012 Sporting Goods Industry Hall of Fame, Freedom Valley YMCA CEO Jay Schaeffer called Ruch "one of the best volunteers with whom I have had the pleasure and opportunity to be associated."
