News anchor stands up for herself after being called fat

Nobody messes with news anchor Jennifer Livingston. That’s what viewers learned when the TV personality stood up for herself in an epic on-air rant about bullying. Jennifer, who works for a Wisconsin morning show, has endured comments about her weight for years. She decided to speak out after receiving the following email:

“Hi Jennifer, It’s unusual that I see your morning show, but I did so for a very short time today. I was surprised indeed to witness that your physical condition hasn’t improved for many years. Surely you don’t consider yourself a suitable example for this community’s young people, girls in particular. Obesity is one of the worst choices a person can make and one of the most dangerous habits to maintain. I leave you this note hoping that you’ll reconsider your responsibility as a local public personality to present and promote a healthy lifestyle.”

Jennifer acknowledges she is overweight — even obese, by doctors’ standards — but she knew she didn’t deserve this kind of treatment. It was outright bullying (yes, adults do it too, unfortunately).

Footage of Jennifer’s four-minute bully smackdown has garnered more than 10 million views on YouTube. You don’t want to miss this video. Watch it here.
