Military mascots are quite common among fighting men. The 8th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry Regiment had “Old Abe” in the Civil War. The 3rd Infantry Division had “Rocky” the Bulldog. And the U.S.S. Washington had a dog named “Zero” who even had his own battle station. We have “Winston” as our military mascot at Hill Aerospace Museum.
