Home is where the heart is, right?
With summer just days away, now is the perfect time to start prepping your backyard and patio for barbecues, pool parties and more.
Here are three areas you’ll want to focus on:
Swimming pool. If you’re lucky enough to own an underground pool, make sure the chemicals are adequately balanced and the vents are operating properly. You’ll also want to monitor pH levels and keep any debris from building up with a pool skimmer. If you have children, make sure to install a pool fence as well.
Patio area. A patio provides an excellent space to socialize and spend time with friends and family members. Adding lounge chairs, a porch swing or another fun form of seating like outdoor bean bags can make get-togethers even more enjoyable. If you enjoy cooking, you may want to consider adding a grill, smoker or fire-pit as well.
Lawn and garden. Even if you aren’t a green thumb, there are plenty of vegetables and flowers that thrive in California’s mild summer weather. From bell peppers and tomatoes to cucumbers and carrots, options abound.
