How to plan to succeed after college

If you’re a college athlete nearing graduation, your life has probably been strictly regimented for years. Your schedule’s been jam-packed with classes, study halls, practices, competitions, and so on. With graduation comes FREEDOM! (yelled like Mel Gibson in “Braveheart”). Perhaps you’re stoked for your upcoming freedom or maybe a little nervous. Either way, it’s smart to game-plan how you’ll make the best of it. Here are some questions to think about. A grade

  • What motivates you to stay on track? If grades were motivating you to do well in college, that’s no longer an option when you’re out in the real world. Figure out what gets you excited, what makes you want to succeed, and go for it.
  • How good are you at networking?
