‘Grow’ with Scouting activities this spring

The traditional beginning of spring is right around the corner! The vernal equinox, which officially falls on March 20 this year, is the official start to a season of growth and renewal as the days get longer.

As we head into a new season of Scouting, we’re excited for all of the activities planned for youth. Our Scouts have such tremendous opportunities to “grow,” mature and develop into amazing young men through the experience they gain participating alongside great leaders, peers and community.

In advance of the spring season, we wanted to share a quick guide we’ve put together with a list of just some of the great events planned. You might want to save this to your reading list, or share it with like-minded friends, to be sure you don’t miss any of the activities. Here’s a quick view of just some of what we have planned, beginning in March.

Boy growing tall and measuring himself on the wall

Old Mill Klondike Derby

Remote Wilderness First Aid / CPR / AED Training

Outdoor Leadership Skills Course

Boy Scout Leader Training

Utah Scout Expo (Scout-O-Rama) Kickoff

Scouting for Food

Wendy’s Scout Night

More information about all of these great activities is available through our Boy Scouts of America Great Salt Lake Council website. Click on the calendar tab for a complete overview, or any one of the links above.

We invite you to get excited, get involved, and ‘be prepared’ for your upcoming season of scouting. Just having a look at the upcoming activities might be enough to give you a bit of spring fever!
