Flower power for a little pop

Everywhere we turn, someone has introduced a new decorating idea. Are you always amazed by other people’s creativity only to think “I could do that!” Well, now is your time. Whether you are a seasoned crafter or a newbie in the crafting world, the combination of easy-to-find supplies and anything-goes style means you can use anything for crafting.

One of the best places to start? Recycled items. Almost everyone has an old end table, door, or chair just waiting to be hauled off. Before you haul those items away, try your hand at some simple refurbishing. If you were going to throw them away anyway, then it really won’t matter if your first try doesn’t turn out perfectly, right?

Take a simple end table or coffee table. Paint it the color of your choice. Then add a design cut from adhesive vinyl sheets. Follow the simple instructions in “Revamp a coffee or side table” from Home-Dzine to create a cute flower pattern.

Another method for achieving this same look is to use the vinyl as a stencil. Put the vinyl stencil down first and paint around it. Vinyl is so versatile! You can use it either way, as a decorative addition to or as a stencil!
