Whether in print or live form, floral fashions of all kinds are steadily finding their way back into everyday life.
A practice that started on the runways and then made its way into our closets, these fresh floral fabrics are making a statement.
Because they’re generally brightly hued or even “loud,” floral patterns often draw in attention. Designers have even taken to using stripes (wherein the contrast is blank or plain colors), or floral print for lettering. The bold even wear clashing floral prints on top of one another to add contrast. This ads an extra pop to any outfit, drawing in more colors and movement. Others have taken to wearing floral hairpieces or jewelry for a natural take on metal accessories.
But what is it about the floral dress that draws in so many? Perhaps it’s spring fever hitting year-round, the idea of mixing so many prints and colors, or just the love for flowers themselves. Whatever the cause, however, it seems as this growing wardrobe trend can’t be stopped. And because there are seemingly no rules, it’s hard to go wrong.
To incorporate some floral appeal into your wardrobe, check out a local fashion magazine, or head to your favorite department store.
