If you’re like most women, your daily to-do list is longer than the hours in the day. Juggling home, work and family responsibilities often means that, at some point, fatigue is bound to set in.

You don’t have to live your life tired all the time. And science can be your ally. Check out these science-based tips from

Be decisive. Indecision can tire you out, even when it comes to things like what’s for dinner or where you should vacation.

You spend a lot of energy thinking and mulling over decisions and possible outcomes. A University of Minnesota study found that subjects had less stamina and did worse on math problems when they were asked to choose from a variety of things they could buy, compared to those who were asked just to look at options.

Instead, try to limit your options when it comes to decision making. Try to go with your gut feeling and remember that most decisions are reversible.

Use color therapy. Certain colors are more energizing that others, like reds, yellows and oranges, according to the Eiseman Center for Color Information & Training. Those colors activate our brain circuits and energize us, so add these colors to your wardrobe and desk when you’re feeling sluggish.
