1.) Crystal Mountain Resort. Crystal Mountain Resort is the largest ski resort in Washington State, featuring 2,600 acres of powder and more than 50 runs. Even better? The resort is close to other top destinations, like Mount Rainier. In addition, skiers and snowboarders can also take in extended hours. The resort offers night skiing between 6 pm and 8 pm throughout the season.

2.) Orcas Island soaking tubs. Orcas Island is the largest of the San Juan Islands, with 57 miles of hilly terrain, breathtaking forests and rugged scenery. The island is also home to several resorts and spas and has earned a reputation over the years for its soaking tubs. If you love a warm bubble bath, this is the getaway for you.

3.) Whale watching in Seabrook. Every year, between October and February, gray whales begin their migration south to warmer waters. They start in Alaska and pass by the coast near Seabrook on their way to Mexico. There are several other places you can go whale watching, including Olympic National Park and Pacific Beach State Park.
