Social media has reshaped the business world when it comes to maintaining a positive public image. On the one side, businesses can post whatever they’d like about their products and services. On the other, customers can do the same thing.
Consequently, businesses have to be extra careful in making sure their locations are presentable. Otherwise, an unflattering camera pic of a stained sink or a littered floor can turn into a web sensation on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Unfortunately, people don’t hold back. They are more than willing to share their experiences — whether good or bad — with friends, family, coworkers and so forth. Turns out, one of the popular pics on social media is the all-too-common grimy bathroom shot.
Ready for a frightening statistic? A survey by Harris Interactive for SCA Tissue North America found that 50 percent of people who were ‘grossed out’ by a restaurant bathroom shared the experience with their friends on social media. Yikes! The last thing a business needs is a photo of their dirty bathroom sink floating around on Facebook or Instagram. And even more concerning, 3 out of 10 people surveyed said they would NOT return to a business that had a dirty bathroom. That’s especially true for parents, who tend to be less forgiving about their youngsters using germy-looking facilities.
The best way to handle a potentially bad PR situation? Don’t let it happen at all! At Cleaning Services Group, we’ll make sure your facilities are looking nice with hospital-grade disinfectants that are environmentally safe and effective. We want to make sure you never see your name pop up on social media above an image of a dirty bathroom.
