December events in Park City

WinterDecember is quickly approaching, and that means there’s lots to do and see here in Park City. To save you the hassle of having to do all of the research yourself, we’ve decided to give you an overview of some of the most exciting, family-friendly events on the horizon. Let’s get started!

3rd Annual Junior Luge World Cup

December 15th and 16th marks the 3rd annual Junior Luge World Cup. This event takes place at the Utah Olympic Park, and showcases some of the best up-and-coming luge athletes around. This year’s edition hosts two groups of athletes, youths ages 15 – 18 and junior athletes ages 19 – 20. Each day consists of men’s and women’s singles, as well as doubles races with a team competition on Tuesday. If you’re an adrenaline junky that loves watching fast-paced action, this is an event you won’t want to miss!

Parsons Dance Company

The world renowned Parsons Dance Company makes a stop in Park City on December 20th. Hailed by the Toronto Star as “one of the hottest tickets in American Contemporary Dance” this troupe of talented individuals promise a show unlike anything you’ve ever seen. Parade and Christmas Eve celebration

Looking for something to do with the family on Christmas Eve? Consider visiting Park City Mountain Resort for a day of holiday music, warm seasonal beverages, Christmas cookies on the plaza and the annual torchlight parade. Admission is free to this event, and parade festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. If you love watching skiers and snowboarders, then you’ll be blown away by the ski and snowboard school winding their way down PayDay trail illuminated in torchlight for the parade!
