D.C. man won’t be prosecuted for shooting a pit bull to save a boy’s life

Washington D.C. authorities decided against prosecuting a man for shooting an unregistered handgun to stop a pit bull attack on a young boy. In other circumstances, he could have faced up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
