Confined space entry safety is our priority

26223365 - a sign with a safety reminderDid you know confined space entry is the most dangerous construction maneuver in the country? Several construction workers are killed each year by cave-ins and other unfortunate accidents. While workers are underground to install pipes and electric lines, they are subjected to the risk of suffocation and injury. Since confined space entry is dangerous, it’s essential to take a training course before participating in this type of work. Remember, your safety and the safety of your workers is on the line!

For an area to be considered a confined space, it must contain a potentially hazardous atmosphere and materials that have the potential to engulf. It also must have walls that converge inward and floors that slop downward. Beware of other safety hazards such as unguarded machinery or exposed wires.

While workers are on the job site, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration requires a competent person to oversee all excavation sites. This person must be competent in soil analysis, the use of protective systems and other special OSHA requirements. Participants in our Excavation Safety and Competent Person Training will gain the knowledge and skills needed for this

The training includes the application of the Subpart-P Excavation Standards. Each participant will receive a training manual with a copy of the Excavation Standard. This course only takes one day, but there are refresher courses available. If you are looking for other trainings outside of Confined Space, we also offer CPR training, OSHA 10-Hour Training and OSHA 30-Hour Training.
