College students: It’s time to shine! Do you plan to pursue a career in the plastics industry? Then this contest is for you!
SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Association and The Future of Plastics Foundation invite undergraduate and graduate students who are legal residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia, of the age majority in the state of residence upon time of entry, and enrolled full-time in a plastics educational program at any accredited postsecondary educational institution in the United States to enter the SPI Student Video Scholarship Competition.
Try your luck by creating and submitting an original short video showing how plastics continue to be a platform for innovation. The theme — Engineering Innovation into the 21st Century —challenges students to think outside of the box. Innovations we thought were impossible are realities today. And today’s ideas are tomorrow’s inventions. Plastics are a major player in these developments.
The video, ideally between 2 and 4 minutes, should showcase plastic’s adaptability, flexibility, strength and economic impact over the last 75 years. Feel free to use comedy, drama, animation, special effects, music or choreography, etc., as long as your video complies with the Official Rules and Video Upload Terms.
The competition is currently open for entries. Entries must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on January 31, 2014. Entries will be accepted online through a YouTube Direct channel accessed by clicking on the ENTER NOW button. Review the complete Official Rules and Video Upload Terms that you will be asked to agree to when you enter.
