If you’re new to the crypto space, it can be especially confusing to see the different language and terminology used to describe alt-currencies. We wanted to take a moment to clarify very vital differences between two main investments: NFTs and cryptocurrency.
While you can benefit from investing in both, NFTs are graphic art “tokens” that can be passed via the blockchain. These are considered to be fully unique and non-replicable, which is where their value is built.
Crypto, while also inherently valuable, is considered a DeFi currency–meaning that no bank manages their transfer. It is not the same as an NFT, as it is not unique and is a method of payment via a “virtual fiat” currency.
