An entrepreneurial hotspot

9323037_SWhether you’re starting your first company, buying a franchise or expanding an existing business, finding a state with a vibrant economy can be an important first step. But there are other important factors in deciding where to locate a business, such as the cost of living, business operating costs and funding availability.

On all these fronts, Oklahoma is a winner, according to a number of recent reports. Oklahoma is the only state with two cities in the top five of a new ranking of best cities for young entrepreneurs. But the list could easily be called “best cities to launch a business” because all the cities on the list have such economic vitality.

Tulsa is ranked the top city for young entrepreneurs due to the high availability of commercial loans, the city’s low cost of living, reasonable business operating costs and low unemployment rate. No. 2 is Tampa, Florida, followed by Atlanta, Georgia and Raleigh, N.C. Rounding out the top five is Oklahoma City. Like Tulsa, a strong economy and low cost of living make this city a winner, according to the report.

Oklahoma City also has been named one of seven U.S. “boomtowns.” And the city is ranked No. 5 among 102 major markets nationwide in terms of economic vitality. Want to know more about doing business in Oklahoma? Check out this web site.
