Park City is a place like no other. In the winter, of course, Park City is home to the beloved Sundance Film Festival, the best snow on earth and multiple lodges and resorts. But there’s no off-season for this mountain town. Here are three uniquely Park City ways to enjoy summer afternoons and evenings in the mountain air.
Hops on the Hill
The chef at Deer Valley’s Stein Ericksen Lodge pairs delectable bites with craft brews from local breweries throughout the summer. The pairings are served on the deck of the luxury lodge, where attendees are serenaded by live music. If beer isn’t your cup of tea, a full bar is also available. The local Youth Sports Alliance receives a portion of the proceeds from this event.
Deer Valley Concert Series
The music of Pink Floyd and John Williams wafts over the mountain as the sun sets on cool summer evenings throughout the season. Touring artists, such as singer-songwriter Amos Lee and Broadway performer Sutton Foster, join the Utah Symphony for this summer’s lineup. Concert attendees are allowed to bring in their own concert snacks and drinks. For a perfect concert picnic, you might think about including a homemade meat and cheese plate, bread and wine.
Mines and Wines
This three-hour tour, hosted on Saturday afternoons during the summer, introduces you to six wines, chosen by sommelier Kristen Fox (Headmistress of Fox School of Wine) and six historic mine-related locations in Park City, which began as a mining town. Light snacks are included and served in the luxury vehicle that takes you to each location. As the Fox School of Wine website boasts, the photos alone will be worth it.
No matter what you decide to do this summer in Park City, you’re bound to have a great time and create beautiful memories with the people you love most.
