When was the last time you took a mental health day?
Sometimes we can feel guilty about not doing things for others or not working on that never-ending to-do list. But taking a mental health day is a great form of self-care. It’s a simple yet powerful way to combat stress, re-center yourself and be better prepared to handle life’s everyday stressors. What you do doesn’t matter, as long as it isn’t working. Next time you’re feeling overwhelmed, consider taking a day off! If a full day off is not possible, do not under estimate the benefit of half a day, a couple of hours, even a true lunch break where you step outside for a deep breath of fresh air.
