Sore muscles after a workout? Sometimes it’s inevitable, especially when you’re first getting started. But the CDC offers the following tips to help prevent minor injuries, including sore muscles:

- Hydration is key! Drink water before, after and throughout your workout;
- Ease into and out of your workout by warming up and cooling down;
- Start slow with both intensity and duration.
