CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics), allows dentists to to construct, produce and insert ceramic teeth chairside in a single appointment.
The computer-aided design program allows dentists to make a digital impression of the tooth that needs to be replaced. A milling machine then constructs the new tooth out of a solid piece of porcelain. This assures the best fit and comfort level, since there aren’t several moving parts.
The new tooth can then be placed during the same visit! We’ve been using the CEREC system for a few years now, and our patients absolutely love it! These ceramic restorations have the best look and feel of any implants we have tried over the years. And since it can all be done in one appointment, CEREC makes dental replacements much more convenient! It means you’ll be seeing less of our dental staff, and in this case, that’s a good thing!
