Although designed for World War II, the A1-E “Skyraider” was a favorite in Vietnam because of its ability to carry large bomb loads, absorb heavy ground fire, and fly for long distances. Ours is painted to resemble one flown by Major Bernard Fischer who won the Medal of Honor in Vietnam. You won’t want to miss this wonderful airplane during your visit.
