Today we wanted to take a minute to highlight the success story of the Hernandez family after they participated in the programs and services provided by Cause for Hope.
Jose L. Hernandez and his wife, of Chinadega, Nicaragua, already owned a welding and electrical business, but weren’t earning enough to support their family. At the start of the program, the family had a monthly income of about $150, and no savings.
The family participated in the self-employment workshops, business improvement training and microplan programs offered by Cause for Hope. We are dedicated to providing the training, educational opportunities and support that hard working people need to improve their circumstances and build a successful future.
The Hernandez family also received two microloans. The money was just what they needed to establish and expand their business. After participating in the program, the family has been able to more than double their monthly income to about $373. In addition, they’re been so successful that so far they and have been able to save $204 each month beyond what they earn!
