Johnson & Johnson has been facing a wave of lawsuits since 2016, with over 51,000 suits filed presently against the company. Consumers have claimed that the talc used in their baby powder has caused cancer. It is alleged that J&J executives knew about the presence of asbestos in their talc-based powders since the early 1970s.
