In a recent blog, we talked about focusing on positivity during the pandemic. We want to compound on that idea in this blog. Let’s continue to look for ways to not only boost our own positivity but also to boost the morale of others.
One of the easiest things you can do to spread joy is to send a quick text or an email to a loved one. It can be something as simple as “Hey, how are you doing? I just wanted to let you know I was thinking about you.” Or it could be a deeper, wordier message that talks about how much they mean to you. You can also take communication “old school” and write out a letter or send a card to those you care about. It’s a simple gesture that can go far in boosting the morale of those you love. If you want to step it up, you can even send flowers or a small gift to remind them how much you care.
Don’t forget to also show yourself some love. Write yourself some inspirational quotes that will boost positivity every day. You can put these on your fridge, by your computer, at the coffee table or on the bathroom mirror. They are little reminders to stay positive, even when you’re feeling down. Here are motivational sayings you can use:
- “Stay positive. Better days are on their way.” – Unknown
- “When you can’t find sunshine, be the sunshine!” – Unknown
- “Be the best version of you.” – Unknown
- “Every day is a new beginning. Take a deep breath, smile and start again.” – Unknown
These are just a few quotes you can recite to yourself when you need a little reminder. You can also take time every day to consider the things you are thankful for. Make a gratitude journal to write these things in. Day after day, you may be surprised at how much this improves your mood over time.
And, as we mentioned in our previous blog. Don’t forget to take time for self-care. Paint your nails, get dolled up occasionally (even if you’re staying in – do it for yourself), put a face mask on and cucumbers on your eyes or enjoy a soothing bath. Boost the mood of others by sending care packages to them so they can also improve their positive vibes.
We hope our previous positivity blog and this one helps spread some joy. If you’re looking for an additional way to treat yourself, check out our hair extensions.
