It’s almost springtime. Here’s how to prep your room

What’s that? Is it springtime on the horizon? Hard to believe. As George Harrison once famously said, “it’s been a long, cold, lonely winter.” But whether you spent your winter shoveling snow or dreaming about warmer days to come, we can bet you and your family are dying to use your three-season room again. Lucky for you, we’ve got some tips to get your indoor/outdoor room ready for use so you can enjoy it for the three seasons to come!

Give it a good cleaning.
As seasons and temperatures change, your home ages and changes as well. Remember your indoor/outdoor room has been out of commission at least since fall, which invariably means dust and some debris surely have collected in the room. Make sure to wipe down all your furniture, matching the appropriate solution to the type of surface involved. Get all of that dust out of there. Yuck, and good riddance!

Clean your window screens.
Window screens also naturally can collect debris and dirt from the elements in the months they go unused. To deep clean your screens, you can use a homemade vinegar-based cleansing solution with a damp towel. Be gentle with them as they may be a bit dry from the winter months.

Get ready for the next three seasons!
Now that your three-season room is clean and ready to go, it’s time to plan parties, find recipes and make memories in your own special space. It won’t be long before you and your family are enjoying a nice evening in your indoor/outdoor room or before you’re hosting your first get-together of the year.

What’s the best thing about spring? It’s one month closer to summer. Hooray! And when it’s time for new screens for your porches and windows, give us a call at Broadview Screens at {{account:phone}} or visit us online at {{account:url}}
