Think Utah is a pretty great place to live? It’s actually the best state in terms of livability, according to a new report.
The Beehive State ranked No. 1 in a recent Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index, which ranks states on the health and happiness of its residents and other lifestyle factors. Good news for home buyers, right? Minnesota came in No. 2 on the list, followed by Colorado (#3), Nebraska (#4) and North Dakota (#5).
When judged against other states, Utah placed among the top 10 for a remarkable 11 of 13 criteria, including economic confidence, job creation and an improving standard of living.
“Results like these continue to prove that Utah really is the best state in the nation now, and Utah is well positioned for long-term success,” said Governor Gary R. Herbert. “The state’s strong showing in economic factors mirrors Utah’s successful approach to building a positive environment where businesses thrive and grow. I am confident that Utah will maintain this ranking for years to come.”
