When a parent that has loved and cared for you for decades is no longer physically and/or mentally capable of looking after themselves, oftentimes the burden falls on the children. In many cases, these sons or daughters step up to the plate and unwaveringly bear the brunt of this drastic change squarely on their own shoulders.
