Refocus, reflect and rejuvenate at corporate retreats

Even though we all spend at least 40-50 hours a week on average at work, we don’t really talk to each other while we’re there. Accounting is here. Finance is there. Executives are over here. Everyone works in a silo.

Not at a corporate retreat. Now’s the time that you actually get to talk in person to Bob in accounting. Such interactions are invaluable in creating a lasting corporate culture and improving employee morale.

Still, most retreats go in one ear and out the other. There’s definitely a feeling of boredom and dread. Maybe it’s because everyone is so consumed with completing their day-to-day jobs that we forget to focus on larger corporate goals like employee bonding.

Corporate retreats are the perfect time to reflect and refocus on your goals and build stronger employee relationships. Plus, they’re great excuses to have fun, wind down and reconnect with your co-workers. They’re also a good time to rejuvenate around shared corporate goals.

Just make sure it’s not all work and no play.
