Why is this former Microsoft exec building libraries and schools?

A former Microsoft executive is pushing the power of reading in a big way. Through his nonprofit organization Room to Read, John Wood has built around 15,000 libraries and 1,600 schools around the world. He sees the effort as a road to world peace.
