Have you thought about doing a little remodeling this year? Lots of us have. If you’re like most homeowners, you’ll probably turn your attention to the bathroom. Some will redecorate with matching towels and shower curtains. Others will take a more ambitious approach and redo the bathroom entirely.
If you are in that latter group, here are some remodeling trends that are becoming more and more popular in bathrooms across the country:
- Environmentally-conscious — This one probably didn’t surprise you. Many people are going with water-saving toilets and shower heads that not only save water, but also reduce monthly utility costs. So if that sounds appealing to you, you’re not alone.
- Streamlined designs — This look can be achieved in several ways. Most commonly, it includes the old saying “less is more” to create a look that give the illusion of more space and a simple cleaner appearance. Frameless showers and large windows contribute to this design. Wall space that traditionally would be bare or open is used to mount bathroom elements and create a more organized and spacious feel.
- Emphasis on soaking tubs — Whether the design is simple or ornate, soaking tubs can be a huge stress-reducer. As a result, many homeowners are making these tubs a central element of their remodeling projects.
If you need some help finishing you bathroom remodel — whether its installing sink fixtures, replacing old pipes or putting in the soaking tub — don’t hesitate to call. We’d be happy to help!
