White Sands, New Mexico is known for its beautiful National Monument, the 90′s film (aptly titled “White Sands”), and now as the home of the U.S. Army’s largest solar power system. Nearly 15,500 solar panels produce 10 million kilowatt-hours of electricity there annually.
