Recipe time again! Today we are sharing two candy recipes; favorites from the recipe boxes of Betsy Ray, our social media guru/administrative assistant, and Jenna Houston, our production manager. Perfect for gifts and oh so tasty. Enjoy!

Betsy’s Easy Homemade Caramels
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup light corn syrup
2 1/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter
In a heavy bottomed saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter, brown sugar, sweetened condensed milk and corn syrup. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Stir at a rolling boil for 8 minutes.
Meanwhile, butter a 9×13 inch baking pan. When the caramel is ready, pour into the buttered pan. Allow to cool completely at room temperature. Remove from the pan and cut into squares using scissors. Wrap individual pieces in waxed paper or cellophane.
Jenna’s Soft Caramel Popcorn
1 lb butter
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
4 cups marshmallows
4 cups uncooked popcorn
Pop the 4 cups of uncooked popcorn in an air popper and remove uncooked kernels.
In a pot, melt butter, then add sugar and corn syrup. Bring to a boil and boil until it gets to a soft ball stage. Add marshmallows and stir until smooth. Pour over popped popcorn. Store in a sealed container to keep soft. Beware of one thing when using this recipe. Once you start, you may not be able to stop eating!!! Enjoy!!
