Garage clutter is a pain. You have too much stuff and not enough room to store it all. It’s an age old problem and everyone has the “best” idea to fix it. There are literally more DIY garage storage tips online than a normal human being could ever possibly read. They usually require way too much know-how to complete and rarely serve much purpose, even if you manage to complete the project. With that in mind, we’ve cut through the online clutter and have selected three garage organization projects that real people can actually do.
If you’re like most people, you probably try to recycle as much as possible. Unfortunately that also means you’re constantly trying to figure out how to manage the umpteen different tubs (all of which are filled to the brim with whatever category of trash they’re meant to hold) strewn across your garage floor.
This easy-to-do project allows you to hang your plastic recycling tubs directly against the wall. All you’ll need is a couple of two-by-fours, a one-by-two and few screws.
Do you have kids? if so, you probably don’t need to be reminded about how often they leave out their toys, especially balls! If you’re a parent of ballplayers, you know full well that their balls are usually rolling around on the garage floor or sitting right in front of the couch waiting for you to break an ankle on.
This is an easy problem to fix! If you have a few bungee cords laying around, grab some nails and two-by-fours and get to work on this project as soon as you can. The balls will be up and out of the way in no time flat.
This one requires a tad more carpentry know-how, but not too much. If you have tons of space-taking stuff like seasonal decorations and clothing that rarely gets used, this project will help you lessen your overall clutter. All you need is a couple of plastic storage bins with lids!
There you have it, three easy garage organization projects that almost anybody can complete!
