Due to an increase in tourism to Alaska, airlines are continuing to make travel easier. The latest development includes the addition of 16 direct flights from San Diego through Alaskan Airlines. It’s an addition that not only cuts travel time, but allows for more passengers to make their way into the state in a shorter amount of time. (As well as additional locations, such as Hawaii).
Officials say it’s been a long time coming, and will help to support the state’s tourism industry. Additionally, it’s a way to expand Alaskan Airline’s economy, which will also help the state.
Though more visitors are booking vacations to the state, there has also been a rise in Alaskan citizens booking outside vacations. Word of the new nonstop flights will be great news for anyone attempting to travel to, from or within the state.
