It might officially be the fall season, but winter is right around the corner. The spring, summer and fall months are all associated with outdoor activities. It may get a bit breezy, hot, or rainy during those seasons, but the weather is mostly temperate compared to the winter months. The winter weather can be unbearable at times, especially if you hate the dark and cold. And bad weather might seem like a minor inconvenience, but if you’re not careful, cabin fever can quickly creep in…
Cabin fever can really hurt our inspiration, which results in less innovation, and motivation. It puts a major damper on our ability to feel energized. However, you can find ways to fight the fatigue and stay positive.
It’s important that even during the cool months, we spend some time outside in natural sunlight. Try opening up the blinds, or just stepping outside for a few minutes. You can also participate in outdoor sports such as snowboarding, skiing or snow tubing.
You might also try revitalizing your decor to make it a happier atmosphere. Try hanging new pictures, or getting indoor plants, to bring the outdoors inside. If really you don’t want to go outdoors, you might also find an indoor activity to keep you rejuvenated and fit. Why not buy a temporary gym pass?
Whatever you do, this winter make a conscience effort to set new goals, and stay active. These are year round activities that will help to perk you up.
