Between homework, team practice, extra practice, family time, personal time and more study time, do you ever feel like there’s just too much to do and not enough time to manage it all? You can, though! The key is developing those skills that are going to help you manage all the things you have to do.
Good time management can help you prioritize and categorize. Nobody can do everything all the time and stay sane. Finding the balance between the important “have to’s” and the maybe not so important “want to’s” is a skill that will serve you very well, not only in high school and college but throughout your life. It doesn’t seem like life slows down any time soon! But let’s be real, do you really want it to?
Living life to its fullest includes letting yourself rest and not getting overwhelmed and stressed out. Burning yourself out doesn’t make you happy or fulfilled. It doesn’t make anyone else around you happy either.
Time management is a crucial skill that not only promotes happiness and well-being but also promotes emotional and physical well-being as well! Getting stressed out because things are being forgotten or grades are slipping and you’re too tired to put forth 100% in your workouts doesn’t do anybody any good either.
Learn how to manage your time effectively, and you may realize that there are things in your life that aren’t quite as important as others. It’s true you can do anything you set your mind to, but not if you’ve forgotten to schedule the time for it!
