Did you know that during the 1940′s the F-86 was one of the most produced jet fighters? It was used in virtually every war until 1971 when it was retired. The one in our museum is painted to resemble one used by the 431st Fighter Interceptor Squadron while stationed at Wheelus Field in Tripoli, Libya, between 1955 and1957.
