Everyone loves Halloween. Grandparents love kids in costumes. Parents love parties with apple cider and pumpkin pie. And kids love trick-or-treating.
Believe it or not: Even dentists love Halloween.
And not because of the financial boon from all those cavities.
This year, the American Dental Association is teaming up with the makers of the popular game Plants vs. Zombies to raise oral health awareness. In collaboration, they have launched a fun site this holiday season: Stop Zombie Mouth.
The site has a fun music video featuring characters from the popular game along with some fun fact sheets about Halloween and tooth decay in the United States.
The site also encourages you to give out something even more fun than candy to trick-or-treaters. Plenty of your neighbors are giving out chocolate bars. One the website, you can download and print coupons for a PC or Mac download of the game Plants vs. Zombies (worth $14.99 or the equivalent of about 40 Reese’s peanut butter cups). You could be the most popular house on the block without spending a penny! Better yet, you don’t have to feel as guilty when your neighbor tells you his kids have three cavities apiece next month.
