TV and a good cup of coffee

We love coffee. And we love a good TV show. And we REALLY love coffee featured on a good TV show. Let’s take a look at some shows that regularly highlight a cup of joe.

Friends — Central Perk was a regular part of the series featuring characters Ross, Chandler, Joey, Monica, Phoebe and Rachel handling life’s problems over a cup of coffee. And who can forget Phoebe’s ongoing gig as the live entertainment belting out such classics as “Smelly Cat” and “My Sticky Shoes” for the customers.

Twin Peaks — Quirky Special Agent Dale Cooper was always asking for a cup of coffee and a piece of pie. That’s pretty much the most normal thing that happens on this show!

Frasier — Pompous but lovable radio psychiatrist Frasier spends lots of time hanging out Waitress serving coffee cup Close up of hand showing coffee isolated on white backgroundhaving an espresso at Cafe Nervosa with his radio producer co-worker Roz, obsessive compulsive brother Niles and occasionally his down-to-earth, retired police officer father.

LIVE with Regis and Kathy Lee, LIVE with Regis and Kelly, LIVE with Kelly and Michael, etc… – It wouldn’t be an early morning talk show if the talent didn’t have a nice hot cup of coffee in hand.

Law and Order — The officers of Law and Order are frequently shown sipping coffee from styrofoam cups as they go about their business. And you’ll see the chief with a mug in hand every so often.

TV reflects culture, and coffee is most definitely a mainstay. Did we miss any of your favorites?
