These personalized boots are perfect for singin’ in the rain

Child wearing red rain boots jumping into a puddle. Close upDid you ever play in the rain as a kid? Oh, the memories! Now you can create memories for your little one by adding a special touch to ordinary rainboots. Here’s how to add a custom monogram to a pair.

First, determine what font you’d like. It’s a good idea to cut a test image on a scrap paper to make sure the size is appropriate. Next, load the selected vinyl into the vinyl cutter. Next, be sure the boots are dry and clean so the vinyl will adhere properly. For best results do not use a cleaner that will leave a residue. Rubbing alcohol and a paper towel will get the job done.

Then, use chalk to mark the intended spot on the boot. Carefully remove the vinyl monogram one letter at a time from the backing liner and apply to the boot using the chalk line as a guide. With care, smooth down the vinyl with your fingers, starting with the middle letter. Now you’ll apply the remaining smaller characters to the left and right of the middle character. Repeat this for the other boot, and you’re set!

Now go play in the rain!
